As a Project Development Engineer, you will spearhead the design, optimization, and implementation of photovoltaic (PV) systems, ensuring seamless integration with client needs while maximizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Your work will directly contribute to Bali's transition to clean energy, supporting both local communities and global sustainability goals.
Based in Bali's vibrant hubs (Canggu, Ubud, Denpasar, or remote), you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge solar solutions. This role is ideal for engineers passionate about renewable energy, innovation, and making a tangible difference in the fight against climate change.
Responsibility
- Develop and refine technical proposals for solar PV projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and regulatory standards.
- Design and optimize solar energy systems, including layout, component selection, and performance modeling using industry-leading software.
- Conduct comprehensive site assessments, including shading analysis, structural evaluations, and energy yield predictions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising system performance or reliability.
- Provide technical support to clients, addressing inquiries and guiding them through project lifecycle phases.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing project data, identifying trends, and implementing best practices.
- Ensure compliance with local and international solar energy standards, permits, and safety protocols.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in renewable energy are a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in solar PV system design, project development, or related engineering roles.
- Proficiency in solar design software (e.g., PVSyst, AutoCAD, HelioScope) and energy modeling tools.
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, including inverter technologies, mounting structures, and grid integration.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to optimization.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote or hybrid environment.
