Responsibility
- Develop, prepare, and manage detailed architectural and interior design drawings using industry-standard software.
- Collaborate closely with project architects, engineers, contractors, and external consultants to ensure design integrity and coordination.
- Review and verify shop drawings, material specifications, and technical submissions from vendors and contractors.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve technical design issues and on-site discrepancies promptly and effectively.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, ensure adherence to design specifications, and maintain quality control.
- Ensure all project designs comply with relevant local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals, presentations, and design reports.
- Maintain comprehensive and organized project documentation, including drawing registers and design change logs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Building Technology, or a related design/engineering field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience as a Project Designer or similar role within the construction or design industry.
- High proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other relevant design and drafting software.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, structural systems, and building regulations in Malaysia.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet project deadlines.
- A proactive problem-solver with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
- Possession of a strong design portfolio showcasing relevant project experience.
