Responsibility
- Provide attentive, personalized service to guests, anticipating their needs and ensuring a seamless dining experience.
- Take and accurately relay food and beverage orders to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Serve meals and beverages with professionalism, adhering to presentation and timing standards.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and wine pairings.
- Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints with diplomacy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Set up and reset dining areas, including tables, linens, glassware, and utensils, according to establishment standards.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently, including handling cash, credit cards, and mobile payments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field (required).
- Proven experience as a waiter or in a similar customer service role in restaurants, hotels, or resorts (preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional appearance, punctuality, and a positive, guest-focused attitude.
- Basic knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and beverage service (e.g., wine, cocktails).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift/carry trays or supplies as needed.
