Responsibility
- Oversee the daily operations of the engineering department, ensuring all maintenance, repairs, and inspections are conducted efficiently and to the highest standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineering professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the Director of Engineering to implement preventive maintenance programs and energy management initiatives to optimize resort operations.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and Marriott International’s engineering policies and procedures.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee external service providers to maintain cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Conduct regular inspections of the resort’s facilities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems, to identify and address potential issues proactively.
- Support sustainability initiatives by implementing eco-friendly practices and technologies to reduce the resort’s environmental footprint.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, ensuring minimal disruption to guest experiences and resort operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering management, preferably within the luxury hospitality or resort industry.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing a team of engineers and technicians in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building management systems.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance and facility management.
- Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards in Indonesia.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in engineering software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
