Responsibility
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
- Safely operate and maneuver heavy-duty trailers, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring proper securing and documentation of shipments.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, fuel consumption, and delivery schedules in compliance with regulations.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to the maintenance team promptly.
- Follow designated routes and delivery schedules to ensure on-time arrivals.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate deliveries.
- Uphold high standards of professionalism and customer service during all interactions.
Qualifications
- Valid professional driver's license (CDL or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy-duty trailers or similar vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and defensive driving techniques.
- Ability to lift and move heavy loads as required for loading and unloading.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet delivery deadlines.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor troubleshooting and maintenance.
