Responsibility

  • Maintain impeccable cleanliness and hygiene standards in dining areas, kitchens, and storage spaces to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of buffet stations, including arranging tableware, utensils, and decorative elements to enhance guest experience.
  • Support kitchen staff by ensuring the timely delivery of clean dishes, glassware, and cutlery during peak service hours.
  • Monitor and restock dining supplies, such as napkins, condiments, and buffet accessories, to prevent shortages during service.
  • Collaborate with the service team to address guest requests promptly and professionally, ensuring a seamless dining experience.
  • Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment, including loading, unloading, and sanitizing dishes to uphold hygiene standards.
  • Assist in inventory management by tracking usage of tableware, glassware, and cleaning supplies, and reporting discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Adhere to all company policies, including safety protocols, uniform standards, and punctuality, to contribute to a positive work environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; hospitality certification or relevant training is a plus.
  • Prior experience in a steward, kitchen assistant, or similar role in a restaurant, hotel, or buffet setting.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices, with the ability to follow protocols diligently.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy trays (up to 15 kg), and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Basic proficiency in English; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian, Mandarin, Japanese) are advantageous for guest interactions.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by the business.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality experiences.
