Responsibility
- Translate business documents, contracts, and correspondence from Mandarin to Indonesian and vice versa with 100% accuracy.
- Provide real-time interpretation during meetings, calls, and negotiations between stakeholders.
- Localize marketing materials, websites, and product descriptions to ensure cultural relevance and clarity.
- Proofread and edit translated content to maintain consistency with company terminology and style guides.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, legal, sales) to ensure translations align with business objectives.
- Research industry-specific terminology to maintain accuracy in technical, financial, or legal translations.
- Manage translation projects from intake to delivery, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Stay updated on linguistic trends, cultural nuances, and best practices in professional translation.
Qualifications
- Fluency in Mandarin (Simplified/Traditional) and Indonesian, with near-native proficiency in both written and spoken forms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Literature, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 2+ years of professional translation experience, preferably in business, marketing, or legal contexts.
- Proven ability to handle technical, financial, or legal terminology with precision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with CAT tools (e.g., Trados, MemoQ) is a plus.
- Cultural sensitivity and awareness of Indonesian and Chinese business etiquette.
