Responsibility
- Assist chefs and kitchen staff in food preparation, including washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning ingredients.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment by washing dishes, utensils, and equipment, and ensuring proper sanitation standards are met.
- Support the storage and organization of food supplies, ensuring proper rotation and inventory management.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations, including preparing work areas for service and cleaning after shifts.
- Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure a safe and compliant kitchen environment.
- Help receive and inspect deliveries, ensuring quality and accuracy of orders.
- Support the culinary team during peak hours by assisting with plating, garnishing, and other tasks as needed.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the kitchen supervisor promptly.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment (preferred but not required).
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a positive and proactive attitude.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects (up to 20 kg).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic English communication skills (additional languages are a plus).
- Ability to follow instructions and work under the guidance of senior kitchen staff.
