Responsibility

  • Assist chefs and kitchen staff in food preparation, including washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning ingredients.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment by washing dishes, utensils, and equipment, and ensuring proper sanitation standards are met.
  • Support the storage and organization of food supplies, ensuring proper rotation and inventory management.
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations, including preparing work areas for service and cleaning after shifts.
  • Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure a safe and compliant kitchen environment.
  • Help receive and inspect deliveries, ensuring quality and accuracy of orders.
  • Support the culinary team during peak hours by assisting with plating, garnishing, and other tasks as needed.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the kitchen supervisor promptly.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment (preferred but not required).
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects (up to 20 kg).
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Basic English communication skills (additional languages are a plus).
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under the guidance of senior kitchen staff.
