Responsibility
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to standardized recipes and special dietary requirements.
- Assist in menu planning and development, ensuring variety and alignment with guest preferences.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely and accurate food preparation for service.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
- Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures to uphold health and safety regulations.
- Adapt to changing priorities and work efficiently during peak service hours.
- Contribute to a positive and professional kitchen culture through teamwork and open communication.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cook, Chef, or Kitchen Assistant in a hotel, restaurant, or resort setting.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations, HACCP, and sanitation practices.
- Creativity and passion for culinary arts, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (up to 20 kg).
- Fluency in English or Indonesian is a plus; ability to understand basic kitchen terminology is required.
