Responsibility
- Prepare and cook authentic Filipino seafood dishes, with a focus on tuna-based specialties, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
- Follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines to maintain food quality and minimize waste.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, fryers, and food processors.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during peak hours and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Monitor food inventory, report shortages, and assist in receiving and storing deliveries.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, including proper storage, handling, and temperature control of ingredients.
- Assist in training junior kitchen staff and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.
- Stay updated on culinary trends and suggest new menu items or improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of professional cooking experience, preferably in a fast-casual or seafood restaurant.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with a focus on efficiency and quality.
- Experience preparing Filipino or Asian cuisine is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices (e.g., HACCP, local health regulations).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a positive attitude under pressure.
- Basic proficiency in English; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian, Tagalog) are a plus.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 kg.
