Responsibility
- Prepare and cook a variety of Western and Indonesian dishes according to standardized recipes and special orders.
- Ensure all meals are presented attractively and meet quality, portion, and food safety standards.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain efficient workflow during peak service hours.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to minimize waste and control costs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Develop and suggest new menu items based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, ensuring consistent execution of dishes.
- Adhere to food preparation timelines to ensure timely service for guests.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a restaurant, hotel, or similar establishment, with expertise in Western and/or Indonesian cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining composure and efficiency.
- Excellent knife skills, cooking techniques, and plating abilities.
- Creative mindset with a passion for experimenting with flavors and presentation.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Familiarity with Indonesian spices, ingredients, and traditional cooking methods is a plus.
