Responsibility
- Provide impeccable table service, ensuring guests’ needs are anticipated and met with warmth and efficiency.
- Present menus, suggest dishes, and explain specials with confidence and clarity.
- Take and relay orders accurately to the kitchen and bar, ensuring timely delivery.
- Maintain a deep knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including wine pairings and dietary restrictions.
- Set up and reset dining areas to meet Anantara’s luxury standards before and after each service.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
- Collaborate with the culinary and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service.
- Uphold hygiene and safety standards in compliance with resort policies and local regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a waiter/waitress in a high-end restaurant or luxury hotel.
- Fluent in English; Mandarin proficiency is a strong plus.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a guest-first mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Neat, professional appearance and adherence to grooming standards.
- Basic knowledge of POS systems and order management is preferred.
