Responsibility
- Prepare and serve a variety of specialty coffee beverages, including espresso, pour-over, cold brew, and milk-based drinks, with consistency and precision.
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing recommendations and answering questions about coffee origins, brewing methods, and flavor profiles.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workspace, including equipment, tools, and coffee stations, adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other café equipment, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
- Collaborate with the team to manage inventory, including coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies, and report any shortages or issues.
- Assist in training new staff members on coffee preparation techniques, customer service best practices, and café operations.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and manage the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently.
- Contribute to creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that reflects the brand’s commitment to quality and hospitality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Barista in a specialty coffee shop or similar environment (minimum 1 year preferred).
- Strong knowledge of coffee brewing methods, espresso extraction, and milk steaming techniques.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse range of customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Basic understanding of café operations, including inventory management and cash handling.
- Passion for coffee and a willingness to continuously learn and improve your skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Indonesian (Bahasa) is a plus.
