Responsibility
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso, tea, and specialty coffee drinks, adhering to San Francisco Coffee’s high standards of quality and presentation.
- Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and cleanliness.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders accurately, and offering personalized recommendations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation, including restocking supplies and ensuring all areas meet hygiene and safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to manage inventory, track stock levels, and place orders for coffee beans, syrups, and other essentials.
- Educate customers about different coffee blends, brewing methods, and menu options to enhance their experience.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and manage the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on new products, techniques, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a high-volume café or coffee shop.
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, including espresso extraction, milk steaming, and latte art.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and remain calm under pressure.
- Basic math skills and familiarity with POS systems for accurate order processing and cash handling.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
