Responsibility

  • Prepare and serve high-quality espresso-based beverages, pour-over coffee, and specialty drinks according to Flinders Lane Cafe standards.
  • Provide friendly, attentive, and personalized customer service to create a welcoming café experience.
  • Operate and maintain coffee equipment, including grinders, espresso machines, and brewing tools, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
  • Educate customers about coffee origins, brewing methods, and flavor profiles to enhance their appreciation.
  • Manage cash transactions, process orders accurately, and handle POS systems efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service and timely delivery of food and beverages.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing café environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in inventory management, including stocking supplies and monitoring coffee bean levels.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a barista or in a customer service role within the hospitality industry (preferred but not required).
  • Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, including espresso extraction, milk steaming, and latte art.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for delivering outstanding service.
