As a Production Planner, you will develop and execute strategic production schedules, monitor work-in-progress (WIP), and coordinate cross-functional teams to meet deadlines while upholding quality standards. Responsibility
- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to align with demand forecasts and capacity constraints.
- Manage and prioritize work orders, ensuring timely execution and minimal disruptions.
- Monitor Work-in-Progress (WIP) inventory levels and adjust plans to prevent bottlenecks or shortages.
- Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and production teams to ensure material readiness and avoid delays.
- Track and analyze plan vs. actual performance, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions.
- Handle urgent schedule changes due to priority shifts, material shortages, or equipment downtime with agility.
- Collaborate with quality assurance to maintain compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Generate reports and present data-driven insights to optimize production efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing deadlines.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Familiarity with inventory management and demand planning tools.
