Responsibility
- Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of products while optimizing resource allocation.
- Forecast material requirements and coordinate with procurement teams to prevent shortages or excess inventory.
- Monitor inventory levels and implement just-in-time (JIT) strategies to reduce holding costs.
- Collaborate with production, warehouse, and logistics teams to align operations with demand forecasts.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and propose process improvements for efficiency gains.
- Prepare and present reports on production metrics, lead times, and material usage to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations in all planning activities.
- Adapt schedules dynamically to accommodate urgent orders or supply chain disruptions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in production planning, material management, or a similar role in manufacturing.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to liaise with internal and external teams.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and inventory optimization techniques.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with packaging industry standards is a plus.
