In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the seamless execution of steel fabrication processes, from interpreting complex engineering drawings to optimizing production workflows. Responsibility
- Oversee daily steel fabrication operations, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Interpret and validate engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to guide fabrication processes.
- Implement and monitor safety protocols, conducting regular inspections to maintain a zero-accident workplace.
- Optimize production workflows by identifying bottlenecks and introducing process improvements for efficiency gains.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, quality control, and logistics, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct material and equipment assessments, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASME).
- Train and mentor fabrication teams on best practices, technical skills, and new methodologies.
- Prepare and present progress reports, including KPIs, to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in structural steel or heavy metal fabrication, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, weld symbols, and fabrication schematics.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques (e.g., cutting, welding, assembling) and material properties (e.g., carbon steel, stainless steel).
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and ERP/MRP systems for production tracking.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to manage teams and resolve technical challenges.
- Certifications in welding inspection (CWI), safety (OSHA), or quality management (Six Sigma) are highly advantageous.
- Willingness to relocate to Bali, Indonesia or commute to assigned project sites.
