Responsibility
- Develop and implement product safety strategies aligned with global standards (e.g., UL, IEC, CE, FCC, RoHS).
- Conduct risk assessments and compliance audits for new and existing products, identifying potential hazards and mitigation measures.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to integrate safety and certification requirements into product development lifecycles.
- Liaise with external certification bodies and regulatory agencies to obtain and maintain necessary product certifications.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including test reports, safety manuals, and compliance matrices.
- Stay abreast of emerging safety regulations and industry trends, advising stakeholders on impact and adaptation strategies.
- Train internal teams on safety protocols, certification processes, and best practices for compliance.
- Support root-cause analysis for safety-related incidents and drive corrective actions.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; Masterâs degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in product safety, compliance, or certification within the electronics manufacturing or high-tech industry.
- In-depth knowledge of international safety standards (e.g., UL 60950, IEC 62368, EN 60204) and EMC/EMF regulations.
- Proven track record of successful product certifications with agencies like UL, TĂV, CSA, or VDE.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in English (written and verbal).
- Experience with risk assessment tools (e.g., FMEA, HAZOP) and compliance software.
- Willingness to relocate to Bali, Indonesia and travel occasionally for audits or meetings.
