Responsibility
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify consumer trends, gaps, and opportunities in the cosmetics and personal care industry.
- Develop and refine product formulations for hair care, body care, and skincare lines, ensuring efficacy, safety, and compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with R&D, marketing, and manufacturing teams to bring new products from concept to commercialization.
- Analyze competitor products and perform benchmarking to ensure our offerings meet or exceed industry standards.
- Create detailed product briefs, including ingredient lists, packaging specifications, and cost estimates.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source high-quality raw materials and innovative components.
- Monitor product performance post-launch and gather feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory changes in the beauty and personal care sector.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in product development within the cosmetics, personal care, or FMCG industry.
- Strong knowledge of formulation chemistry, ingredient functionality, and cosmetic regulations (e.g., BPOM, FDA, EU standards).
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and market research methodologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and problem-solving in product development.
- Familiarity with sustainable and clean beauty trends is highly desirable.
