Responsibility
- Assist in the conceptualization and development of new furniture designs, from initial sketches to final prototypes.
- Collaborate with senior designers and engineers to refine product specifications and ensure feasibility for production.
- Create detailed technical drawings, 3D models, and renderings using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks).
- Research and analyze market trends, materials, and manufacturing techniques to inform design decisions.
- Participate in material selection and sourcing, ensuring alignment with sustainability and quality standards.
- Support the prototyping process, including model-making, testing, and iterating based on feedback.
- Document design processes, including mood boards, material samples, and production notes for team reference.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions and present design ideas to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Furniture Design, or a related field.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), or Rhino.
- Strong portfolio showcasing creative problem-solving, attention to detail, and a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, materials (e.g., wood, metal, textiles), and ergonomics.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts clearly.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn in a hands-on, collaborative environment.
- Familiarity with sustainable design principles is a plus.
- Ability to commit to a full-time internship (minimum 3-6 months) in Bali.
