Responsibility
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to optimize costs and ensure high-quality material procurement for manufacturing operations.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure favorable agreements while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
- Coordinate international and domestic shipping logistics, including freight forwarding, customs clearance, and delivery scheduling to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with production teams to align procurement with demand forecasts, minimizing stockouts and excess inventory.
- Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and procurement metrics to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Resolve shipping and procurement-related issues, such as delays, discrepancies, or quality concerns, in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Prepare and maintain procurement documentation, including purchase orders, invoices, and shipping records, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, trade regulations, and emerging technologies in procurement and logistics to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in manufacturing or logistics.
- Proven track record of negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize procurement processes.
- Familiarity with shipping logistics, including freight forwarding, customs procedures, and international trade regulations.
- Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
