Responsibility
- Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Optimize inventory management by implementing best practices for stock control, cycle counting, and space utilization to minimize waste and improve efficiency.
- Lead and mentor warehouse staff, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback to foster a high-performing team.
- Coordinate with procurement, sales, and transportation teams to align warehouse activities with business demands and customer requirements.
- Monitor and report KPIs such as order accuracy, shipping times, and inventory turnover, identifying areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, conducting regular audits and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Manage warehouse equipment and systems, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), to maintain operational readiness.
- Resolve logistics-related issues proactively, from delays to discrepancies, while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse or logistics management, preferably in a senior or supervisory role.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team in a high-volume warehouse environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including inventory control, shipping/receiving, and distribution processes.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP software; experience with SAP or Oracle is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address operational challenges efficiently.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in warehouse settings, including OSHA or local equivalents.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal teams, vendors, and clients.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
