Responsibility
- Source, evaluate, and manage reliable suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality standards.
- Prepare and process purchase orders while maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Monitor market trends and raw material availability to mitigate supply chain risks.
- Coordinate with production and warehouse departments to align procurement with manufacturing schedules.
- Negotiate favorable credit terms and service agreements with domestic and international vendors.
- Perform regular supplier performance reviews and audits to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of procurement activities for reporting and audit purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, ideally within the food manufacturing or FMCG industry.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of cost reduction.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex supply chain issues.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight production deadlines.
