Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and maintain Process Safety Management (PSM) systems in compliance with local and international regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO, NFPA).
- Conduct Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) studies, Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA), and Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA) for construction and operational projects.
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate process hazards through risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety protocols into project design, execution, and maintenance phases.
- Prepare and review Safety Case Reports, Emergency Response Plans, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for high-risk processes.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards across all project sites.
- Provide training and mentorship to staff on process safety best practices, emergency procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated on emerging safety technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement in safety performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Process Safety Engineering, preferably in the construction, oil & gas, or infrastructure sectors.
- Certification in Process Safety Management (PSM), Functional Safety (TÜV), or NEBOSH is highly advantageous.
- Proven expertise in conducting HAZOP, LOPA, FMEA, and other risk assessment methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of international safety standards, including OSHA, ISO 45001, NFPA, and API.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to influence safety culture across all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in safety software tools such as PHA-Pro, SAP EHS, or BowTieXP.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
