Responsibility

  • Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, yield, and product consistency.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis for process deviations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with R&D and production teams to scale up new materials and technologies from pilot to full production.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and technical reports.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend data-driven improvements to meet quality and output targets.
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional projects to introduce automation, lean manufacturing, or Industry 4.0 solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, OSHA, local authorities).
  • Train and mentor junior engineers and production staff on process best practices and troubleshooting techniques.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing, or production within the materials, chemicals, or semiconductor industries.
  • Proven track record in process optimization, troubleshooting, and scale-up of industrial processes.
  • Proficiency in process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen Plus, COMSOL) and statistical analysis (e.g., Six Sigma, DOE).
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and safety protocols.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Malay, Mandarin) are advantageous.
