Responsibility
- Design, develop, and validate Process Design Kits (PDKs) for advanced semiconductor nodes.
- Create and optimize IC layout verification tools and simulation frameworks to ensure design accuracy.
- Collaborate with fabrication teams to align PDK components with manufacturing constraints and capabilities.
- Develop and maintain automated scripts (Python, Perl, or Tcl) for PDK generation and validation.
- Perform electrical rule checks (ERC) and design rule checks (DRC) to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and debug PDK-related issues, providing technical support to design engineers.
- Document PDK specifications, user guides, and release notes for internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay updated with emerging semiconductor technologies and integrate best practices into PDK development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in IC design, PDK development, or semiconductor process engineering.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C/C++, or Perl for automation and tool development.
- Hands-on experience with EDA tools (e.g., Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics) and layout verification tools.
- Deep understanding of CMOS process technology, device modeling, and parasitic extraction.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and scripting for tool integration.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in high-precision engineering tasks.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with global engineering teams.
