Responsibility
- Lead and manage R&D projects in optical metrology, imaging systems, and semiconductor inspection technologies.
- Develop novel algorithms and methodologies for high-precision measurement, defect detection, and process control in semiconductor manufacturing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineers, physicists, data scientists) to design, prototype, and validate next-gen metrology solutions.
- Publish research findings in high-impact journals and present at international conferences to establish thought leadership.
- Mentor junior scientists and engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
- Engage with industry partners to translate R&D outcomes into commercial applications and intellectual property.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in optics, AI-driven imaging, and semiconductor technology to guide strategic roadmaps.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and ethical standards in all experimental and developmental work.
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with at least 8+ years of post-doctoral or industry experience in semiconductor metrology, optical imaging, or machine vision.
- Proven track record in leading R&D projects from concept to prototype, with a portfolio of patents or publications.
- Expertise in optical systems design, including interferometry, microscopy, spectroscopy, or computational imaging.
- Strong programming skills (Python, MATLAB, C++) and experience with data analysis, machine learning, or image processing.
- Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes (lithography, etch, deposition) and metrology tools (CD-SEM, OCD, ellipsometry).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across cultures and disciplines.
- Experience working in international or multicultural teams is a plus.
- Willingness to relocate to Bali, Indonesia, with occasional travel to Singapore or other global sites.
