Responsibility
- Lead the development, optimization, and sustainment of dry etch processes for semiconductor fabrication, ensuring alignment with product specifications and yield targets.
- Design and execute DOE (Design of Experiments) to improve process performance, stability, and repeatability.
- Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams to troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and technical reports.
- Monitor key process metrics (e.g., etch rate, uniformity, selectivity) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Evaluate and integrate new materials, tools, and methodologies to enhance process efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards (e.g., ISO, SEMI).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in semiconductor process engineering, with a focus on dry etch (plasma etch).
- Hands-on experience with etch tools (e.g., Lam, Applied Materials, TEL) and process characterization techniques (e.g., SEM, AFM, ellipsometry).
- Strong expertise in DOE, statistical process control (SPC), and data analysis (JMP, Python, or MATLAB preferred).
- Proven track record of process development, troubleshooting, and yield enhancement in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Familiarity with semiconductor industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and adapt to evolving priorities.
