Responsibility
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable, cloud-native platform architectures using Kubernetes, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Pulumi.
- Define and enforce best practices for DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and CI/CD pipelines to ensure high availability, performance, and security of platform services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, security, product) to align platform capabilities with business and technical requirements.
- Mentor and guide engineering teams on platform adoption, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual processes, improve efficiency, and enhance system reliability.
- Monitor platform health, performance metrics, and incident response, implementing proactive measures to minimize downtime.
- Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies (e.g., service meshes, serverless, observability tools) to enhance platform capabilities.
- Document architectural decisions, operational runbooks, and platform guidelines for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership or principal capacity.
- Expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
- Strong background in CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD, or similar).
- Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog) and logging/monitoring best practices.
- Familiarity with security best practices (IAM, network policies, encryption, compliance standards).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, leadership abilities, and a collaborative mindset.
- Prior experience working in remote or distributed teams is a plus.
