Responsibility
- Architect and Design: Lead the end-to-end architecture of FundsCore’s payment systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and low-latency performance for high-volume transactions.
- Technical Leadership: Mentor engineering teams, set technical standards, and drive best practices in software development, testing, and deployment.
- System Optimization: Identify and resolve bottlenecks in existing payment infrastructure to enhance efficiency, security, and user experience.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, compliance, and business teams to align technical solutions with strategic goals and regulatory requirements.
- Innovation & R&D: Research and integrate emerging technologies (e.g., blockchain, real-time processing) to future-proof FundsCore’s platform.
- Incident Management: Oversee critical system incidents, lead post-mortems, and implement preventive measures to minimize downtime.
- Code & Review: Contribute to hands-on development and conduct rigorous code reviews to maintain high-quality, maintainable codebases.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for architecture, APIs, and operational procedures.
Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a principal/lead role designing large-scale distributed systems, preferably in fintech or payments.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Java, Go, or Python, and deep knowledge of microservices, event-driven architectures, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
- Financial Systems: Hands-on experience with payment processing, ledger systems, fraud detection, or compliance frameworks (PCI-DSS, ISO 20022).
- Performance Tuning: Proven ability to optimize high-throughput, low-latency systems handling millions of transactions daily.
- Security Mindset: Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, encryption, and secure API design.
- Leadership: Track record of leading engineering teams, fostering collaboration, and driving technical roadmaps.
- Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with a knack for debugging complex, interdependent systems.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
