Responsibility
- Lead contract negotiations, drafting, and administration for new-build and capital projects.
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to optimize project outcomes and mitigate risks.
- Oversee compliance with legal, regulatory, and corporate policies in all contractual agreements.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and finance teams to align contracts with project timelines and budgets.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, including vendors, contractors, and government agencies.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies for high-value contracts.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior contracts professionals.
- Ensure adherence to sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) standards in project contracts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPCM, PMP) is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in contract management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale capital projects, preferably in the energy or construction sector.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of contract law, procurement processes, and risk management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Familiarity with ESG and sustainability frameworks in project contracts.
- Willingness to relocate or travel as required.
