Responsibility
- Operate prime movers to transport cargo and containers safely and efficiently.
- Ensure timely collection and delivery of goods according to scheduled routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure roadworthiness.
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies to prevent accidents.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients to provide updates on delivery status.
- Handle cargo securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Assist in loading and unloading operations as required.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience driving prime movers or similar heavy vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of traffic regulations and safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good physical condition to handle the demands of the job.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle maintenance.
