Responsibility
- Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate EAL lessons aligned with the schoolâs curriculum and international standards.
- Assess and monitor studentsâ language progress, providing personalized feedback and support.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate EAL strategies into mainstream subjects.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
- Develop and adapt teaching materials to cater to diverse learning needs and abilities.
- Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on student progress and areas for improvement.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with EAL teaching methodologies.
- Contribute to school-wide initiatives, including extracurricular activities and cultural events.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Education, Linguistics, or a related field (Masterâs degree preferred).
- Recognized teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, TEFL, TESOL, or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years of experience teaching EAL or English in a primary school setting.
- Familiarity with international curricula (e.g., IB, Cambridge) is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in multicultural teams.
- Passion for language acquisition and a commitment to student-centered learning.
- Experience working in diverse or international school environments is a plus.
- Willingness to relocate to Bali, Indonesia and adapt to local cultural norms.
