As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the learning experience by assisting teachers in classroom management, lesson preparation, and hands-on science experiments. Responsibility
- Assist the Primary Class Teacher in delivering lessons, managing classroom activities, and ensuring a positive learning environment.
- Support the Science Teacher in preparing laboratory equipment, materials, and experiments for hands-on student engagement.
- Help supervise students during lessons, lab sessions, and extracurricular activities to ensure safety and focus.
- Collaborate with teachers to develop and adapt instructional materials tailored to diverse learning needs.
- Provide one-on-one or small-group support to students who require additional assistance with assignments or concepts.
- Assist in grading assignments, quizzes, and projects under the guidance of the lead teacher.
- Maintain organized and clean classroom and lab spaces, including inventory management of supplies and equipment.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development workshops, and parent-teacher conferences as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Development, Science, or a related field.
- Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant, Tutor, or in a similar educational support role is highly preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
- Familiarity with primary education curricula and basic science laboratory practices is a plus.
- Patience, adaptability, and a passion for working with children in a multicultural environment.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is beneficial but not required.
- Ability to work full-time with a commitment to the academic year.
- First Aid or child safety certification is advantageous.
