Responsibility
- Operate and maintain CNC and manual lathe machines to produce precision components.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate production.
- Perform quality checks using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Adjust machine settings, tooling, and feeds to optimize performance and minimize waste.
- Monitor machine operations to detect and resolve issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to troubleshoot production challenges.
- Document production data, including measurements, adjustments, and any deviations from specifications.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Lathe Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and materials (e.g., metals, plastics).
- Ability to operate both manual and CNC lathe machines with precision.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Basic mathematical skills for calculations related to dimensions and tolerances.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle heavy materials.
- Certification in machining or a related field is a plus.
