Responsibility
- Operate and maintain CNC machines, lathes, mills, and grinding equipment to produce high-precision aerospace components.
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and CAD/CAM models to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Perform quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines) to meet AS9100 and FAA standards.
- Set up, adjust, and troubleshoot machinery to optimize production efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace in compliance with aerospace industry regulations.
- Collaborate with engineers and quality assurance teams to resolve technical issues and improve manufacturing processes.
- Document production data, including measurements, tolerances, and non-conformance reports.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Machinist, preferably in aerospace, defense, or precision engineering.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and using metrology tools.
- Hands-on experience with CNC programming (G-code, M-code) and manual machining.
- Familiarity with aerospace materials (e.g., titanium, Inconel, aluminum alloys) and their machining properties.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in machining (e.g., NIMS, ASQ, or equivalent) is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing zero-defect components.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a multicultural setting.
