Responsibility
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on diesel engines and generators to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in power systems, including control panels, alternators, and fuel systems.
- Conduct load testing, performance evaluations, and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to implement upgrades, modifications, and system improvements.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide timely solutions to restore power supply in critical situations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance using digital tools and logs.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies during all operations.
- Provide technical support and training to junior technicians and operational staff as needed.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in diesel engine and generator maintenance, preferably in commercial or industrial settings.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine components, generator systems, and electrical control panels.
- Experience with diagnostic tools, multimeters, and specialized testing equipment for power systems.
- Familiarity with safety protocols, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
