Responsibility
- Lead and manage the powder coating production team to ensure efficient, high-quality output and on-time delivery of products.
- Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and optimization of powder coating equipment to maximize performance and minimize downtime.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance coating quality, reduce waste, and lower production costs.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines in all powder coating operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, quality assurance, and logistics, to align production goals with business objectives.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as defect rates, cycle times, and material usage to drive continuous improvement.
- Train, mentor, and develop team members to foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational excellence.
- Manage supplier relationships for powder coating materials and equipment, ensuring cost-effective and reliable sourcing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in powder coating operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Proven expertise in powder coating techniques, equipment, and quality control processes.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or other relevant quality and environmental management systems.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems, production planning tools, and data analysis software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a results-driven mindset with a focus on cost reduction and efficiency.
