Responsibility
- Coordinate daily port operations and monitor vessel schedules to ensure timely processing.
- Liaise between terminal operators, logistics partners, and internal departments to resolve operational bottlenecks.
- Maintain accurate documentation and digital logs for all port activities and cargo movements.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, international maritime standards, and local port authority guidelines.
- Provide prompt support for operational enquiries and escalate complex issues to management.
- Participate in shift rotations as required to maintain 24/7 port efficiency.
- Conduct regular site inspections and reporting to ensure terminal productivity remains at peak levels.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in port operations, terminal management, or logistics coordination.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and logistics management software.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse teams.
- A proactive mindset with excellent critical thinking and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure environment.
- Knowledge of port authority regulations and safety protocols is a significant advantage.
