Responsibility
- Install, configure, and commission PLC-controlled equipment and automation systems to meet production requirements.
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and calibration of PLC systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software-related issues in PLC systems and related machinery.
- Develop and implement corrective action plans to resolve equipment failures and minimize production downtime.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve system efficiency, reliability, and safety.
- Document all maintenance activities, including repairs, upgrades, and system modifications, in compliance with company standards.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in PLC technology and industrial automation to recommend process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, industry regulations, and company policies during maintenance operations.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in PLC programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi).
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, ladder logic diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
- Experience with HMI systems, SCADA, and variable frequency drives (VFDs) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with safety standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO) and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Strong communication skills in English and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
