Responsibility
- Provide engineering support for production equipment, jigs, and fixtures to ensure optimal performance and stability.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and extend lifespan.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to manufacturing equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., production, quality assurance) to identify and implement equipment improvements.
- Design, modify, and optimize jigs, fixtures, and tooling to enhance efficiency and precision in manufacturing processes.
- Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and propose corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Support the procurement and installation of new equipment, including vendor evaluations and commissioning.
- Document and maintain technical records, including equipment manuals, maintenance logs, and improvement reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in equipment engineering, maintenance, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of production equipment, jigs, fixtures, and automation systems.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for designing and modifying tooling.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or TPM methodologies is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
