Responsibility
- Design, implement, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and automation systems for poultry processing plants to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment lifespan and reduce operational costs.
- Monitor energy consumption and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, sustainability, and cost savings in plant operations.
- Ensure compliance with local and international food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO, GMP) and environmental regulations.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with production teams to optimize workflows, enhance productivity, and maintain consistent product quality.
- Manage capital projects, including equipment upgrades, facility expansions, and the introduction of new technologies.
- Train and mentor technical staff on best practices in plant engineering, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in plant engineering, preferably in food manufacturing, poultry processing, or FMCG industries.
- Strong knowledge of automation systems (PLC, SCADA), HVAC, refrigeration, and utility systems in industrial settings.
- Proven track record in project management, maintenance planning, and process optimization.
- Familiarity with food safety standards (HACCP, ISO 22000, BRC) and environmental regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar engineering software.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
