Responsibility
- Perform blood collection procedures, including venipuncture and capillary puncture, with precision and care.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during blood collection, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
- Label and process blood samples accurately, maintaining proper documentation and chain of custody.
- Verify patient identity and explain procedures to alleviate anxiety and ensure cooperation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sterilizing equipment and disposing of biohazardous materials.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate sample delivery to laboratories.
- Adhere to all regulatory and organizational guidelines for phlebotomy practices.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient concerns with empathy and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Certification or diploma in Phlebotomy from an accredited institution.
- Proven experience as a Phlebotomist or in a similar healthcare role.
- Strong knowledge of venipuncture techniques and blood collection procedures.
