Responsibility
- Process and manage patient referrals from initial request to completion, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits for referred patients, coordinating with insurance providers as needed.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, patients, and internal teams to facilitate smooth referral workflows.
- Maintain detailed and organized records of referrals, including patient information, provider details, and follow-up actions.
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies in referrals, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with medical staff to prioritize urgent referrals and ensure patients receive timely care.
- Generate reports on referral metrics, trends, and outcomes to support departmental decision-making.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and providers, addressing inquiries and concerns professionally.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical administration, healthcare coordination, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, insurance processes, and healthcare referral systems.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage high volumes of referrals efficiently.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-service-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote/hybrid environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Bahasa Indonesia) are a plus.
