Responsibility
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting patients and customers with prescription and over-the-counter medication inquiries.
- Process and dispense medications accurately while adhering to pharmacy protocols and legal requirements.
- Manage inventory by stocking, organizing, and tracking pharmaceutical supplies to ensure availability.
- Operate cash registers and handle transactions, including insurance claims, with precision and professionalism.
- Educate customers on proper medication usage, side effects, and general health and wellness practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy workspace in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care and service delivery.
- Assist in promotional activities, health screenings, and community outreach programs to enhance public health awareness.
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; certification in pharmacy or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in retail, customer service, or pharmacy settings preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse customers.
- Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical products, medical terminology, and inventory management.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures for medication handling and record-keeping.
- Proficiency in using pharmacy software and POS systems; willingness to learn new tools.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
