Responsibility
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting patients, answering inquiries, and offering product recommendations.
- Manage inventory by restocking shelves, monitoring expiration dates, and placing orders for pharmaceutical supplies.
- Process customer transactions, handle cash registers, and ensure accurate billing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy workspace in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Assist in labeling, packaging, and preparing medications for distribution.
- Support the pharmacist in verifying prescription details and patient information.
- Educate customers on over-the-counter medications, usage instructions, and potential side effects.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in pharmacy assistance is a plus.
- Proven experience in a pharmacy, retail, or customer service role (preferred but not required).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols for medication handling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse customers.
- Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and common medications.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
