Responsibility
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of permanent way systems, including tracks, switches, and crossings, to ensure operational safety and compliance with industry standards.
- Perform civil structure assessments, including bridges, tunnels, and retaining walls, to identify defects, wear, and potential risks, and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist in the planning, execution, and supervision of construction and repair projects for rail infrastructure, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and contractors to develop and implement solutions for complex technical challenges in rail and civil structures.
- Prepare detailed reports, documentation, and technical drawings for maintenance activities, project progress, and compliance purposes.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of rail infrastructure using specialized tools and software, and propose improvements to enhance efficiency and longevity.
- Ensure all work complies with local regulations, safety protocols, and environmental guidelines, particularly in sensitive areas such as Bali’s coastal and urban regions.
- Provide technical support and training to junior technicians and field staff to promote best practices and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Railway Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in permanent way maintenance, civil structures, or rail infrastructure projects (Senior Technician roles require 5+ years of experience).
- Proven expertise in inspecting, maintaining, and repairing rail tracks, switches, and civil structures such as bridges and tunnels.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, including safety protocols and environmental guidelines for rail and civil engineering projects.
- Proficiency in using technical tools, software, and equipment for inspections, measurements, and reporting (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS, or specialized rail maintenance software).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to prepare clear and concise technical reports and presentations.
- Willingness to work in various locations across Bali, including remote or challenging sites, and adapt to flexible working hours as required by project demands.
