job description

Join our dedicated healthcare team in Bali as a Perinatal Nurse, specializing in the care of newborns with high-risk conditions. This rewarding role focuses on providing expert nursing care to infants in their most critical early days, ensuring their health, stability, and development. You will work in a state-of-the-art neonatal unit, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of pediatricians, neonatologists, and healthcare professionals to deliver evidence-based, compassionate care.

As a Perinatal Nurse, you will play a vital role in monitoring, assessing, and responding to the unique needs of newborns with complications such as prematurity, low birth weight, infections, or congenital conditions. Your expertise will directly impact the survival and long-term well-being of these vulnerable patients, while providing emotional support to their families during a challenging time.

This position offers the opportunity to work in Bali’s growing healthcare sector, where you can contribute to improving neonatal outcomes while enjoying a fulfilling career in a tropical, culturally rich environment. If you are a passionate, detail-oriented nurse with a commitment to excellence in neonatal care, we invite you to apply.

Responsibility

  • Provide specialized nursing care to newborns in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), including premature infants, low birth weight babies, and those with critical health conditions.
  • Monitor and assess vital signs, growth, and developmental milestones of high-risk newborns, documenting all observations accurately.
  • Administer medications, IV fluids, and nutritional support (including breastfeeding or formula feeding) as prescribed by neonatologists.
  • Operate and maintain neonatal medical equipment, such as incubators, ventilators, and cardiac monitors, ensuring safety and functionality.
  • Collaborate with pediatricians, neonatologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Educate and support parents and families on newborn care, feeding techniques, and post-discharge follow-up requirements.
  • Respond to emergency situations (e.g., respiratory distress, sepsis) with rapid, effective interventions.
  • Maintain strict infection control protocols to prevent nosocomial infections in the NICU.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (S1 Keperawatan) from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Indonesian Nursing License (STR) and SIP (Surat Izin Praktik).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in neonatal or perinatal nursing, preferably in a NICU setting.
  • Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) or equivalent is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of neonatal physiology, pathology, and pharmacology.
  • Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills with the ability to act swiftly in high-pressure situations.
  • Proficient in English and Indonesian (written and verbal) for effective communication with international and local teams.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach with a commitment to family-integrated care.
