Responsibility
- Develop and implement a comprehensive PE curriculum aligned with school standards, including swimming programs for all age groups.
- Conduct safe and effective swimming lessons, ensuring students develop confidence and proficiency in the water.
- Organize and lead sports events, tournaments, and extracurricular activities to encourage teamwork and school spirit.
- Assess student progress in physical education and swimming, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Promote health and wellness education, including nutrition, hygiene, and injury prevention.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate cross-disciplinary learning (e.g., science in sports, math in swimming).
- Maintain safety protocols for all physical activities, including pool supervision and first aid readiness.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive environment where students of all abilities feel encouraged to participate.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field (or equivalent teaching certification).
- Proven experience as a PE Teacher, Swimming Instructor, or Coach, preferably in an international or bilingual school setting.
- Certification in lifeguarding or swimming instruction (e.g., Red Cross, AUSTSWIM, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills, with the ability to engage students of diverse backgrounds.
- Passion for child development and a commitment to fostering a positive, active lifestyle.
- Fluency in English (additional proficiency in Indonesian is a plus).
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and the community.
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain one).
